Windsurfing: Hove Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: Session time = 4-6pm Surf / Sea State: LT@6pm Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Another random afternoon booked off work weeks in advance which turns out
windy! My windsurfing luck is in this year. WSW so sailed West Hove. It was
still a bit too onshore to be ideal but plenty of low tide ramps so not bad
for looping. It's been weeks since my last powered up waveboard session so
I was concerned I would have lost some of my looping mojo but I need not
have worried. 10 attempts (I was counting...), the 2nd of which felt like a
real cracker. A full high rotation and only a gentle carressing of the
upper right thigh as I kept the rig flying throughout a super quick
waterstart away. Could have landed it if I knew what I was doing. Still,
easily my best effort to date...er...stoked!!!
Unfortunately I was unable to improve on that but nevertheless I scored
plenty more quality attempts. On almost every single one I am now pulling
off fully committed, fast and whippy yet controlled rotations. Only a
couple of months ago I could never have imagined I would be doing what I am
doing now. So much fun! :-)
Should be windy again tomorrow so hopefully more of the same.
